Treatment of the postinjection complications in accordance to elaborated procedure with application of NO-therapy

Abstract

Objective. To improve the treatment results in the patients, suffering postinjectional complications.

Маterials and methods. The investigation was conducted in 49 patients, who were divided into two groups: the main - 23 patients and a comparison one – 26. In the main group the treatment was conducted in accordance to the procedure elaborated, using primary suturing, vacuum-аspiration and therapy, using treatment with a nitrogen monoxide (NO-therapy), and in a comparison one – in accordance to the standard procedure.

Results. Postinjectional abscesses have had occurred predominantly after intramuscular injections of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory preparations – in 27 (55.1%) observations and magnesium sulfate – in 11 (22.4%). Level of a С-reactive protein on the 7-th day of the investigation have constituted (3.1 ± 0.8) mg/l in the main group, and (12.9 ± 6.0) mg/l – in a control one. A leukocytic index of intoxication on the 7th day in the main group have constituted (1.3 ± 0.4) conventional units (c. u.), and in a comparison one – (1.9 ± 0.2) c. u.

Conclusion. Тhe stationary stay period in the patients, who were treated in accordance to the procedure elaborated, was in twice lesser, than in patients, who were treated in accordance to standard procedure.
