Estimation of efficacy of antibioticotherapy in intraarterial and intravenous regimes in patients, suffering locally spread mammary gland cancer
Objective. Improvement of immediate and late results of treatment in patients, suffering a locally spread mammary gland cancer (LS MGC), using accelerated regression of perifocal inflammatory changes with the help of selective intraarterial application of antibiotics, and the patient quality of life raising.
Маterials and methods. Into the Control Group 47 (53%) patients, suffering LS MGC, were included, to whom neoadjuvant therapy was conducted, consisted of the courses series of selective intraarterial polychemotherapy (SIAPCHTH) with systemic application of antibioticotherapy in regime of intravenous injection. Into investigation Group 42 (49%) patients were included, to whom neoadjuvant therapy was conducted, consisted of the courses series of SIAPCHTH together with regional antibioticotherapy in regime of intraarterial injection.
Results. Application of regional antibioticotherapy in a content of complex neoadjuvant therapy together with SIAPCHTH improves positively a linear and chronometric regression of inflammatory changes perifocally around primary inoperable LS MGC, what improves somatic and psychological status in women–patients on stage of neoadjuvant treatment and raises their quality of life.
Conclusion. Complex regional impact on affected organ guarantees a statistically confirmed better effect with bright holistic features and demonstrate adequate synergism of certain selected procedures.
