Investigation of the impact of photostimulation and healing of postoperative wounds in experiment

Abstract

Objective. Elaboration of a new technology for prophylaxis of complications and improvement of the postoperative wounds healing under the influence of stimulation by optic part of light of red (635 nm) and blue (450 nm) diapasons of spectrum.

Materials and methods. The investigations were conducted on 18 white rats, in whom under general intraabdominal narcosis were performed the skin and subcutaneous cellular tissue incision, and the wound was closed with separate knots. After this in 9 laboratory animals (control group) no additional manipulations were performed, while in other 9 laboratory animals (experimental) phototherapy, using optic flow of spectrum. On the 7th, 14th and 21st days histological investigations of the abdominal wall wounds were conducted.

Results. A newly created cicatricial tissue have been matured more rapidly in laboratory animals of experimental group with formation of a narrow normotrophic cicatrix. In laboratory animals of a control group hypertrophic cicatrix was formed more slowly and was irregular in aspects of thickness and width.

Conclusion. Under the influence of irradiation of the abdominal wall wounds they have been healed more rapidly and qualitatively.
