Abstract

Possibilities of formation of extended occipito-cervical flap, basing on septo-cutaneous perforative vessels of occipital artery and transverse artery of the neck were investigated. The key perforative arteries with perforative branches of transverse cervical artery and suprascapular artery (posterior occipital flap) or perforative branches of thoraco-suprabrachial and intercostal perforative branches of internal thoracic artery (anterior occipital flap) were united into one vascular bed. Such flap constitutes one of variants while doing reconstruction of the neck after burns if the plastic material is lacking.
